Kids climbed in and out of fire trucks, community members walked through the building and fire and rescue volunteers cooked and served up burgers and dogs.
They were all there to mark the opening of the new Humphrey Fire and Rescue Station.
Sunday’s open house allowed people to see the new facility and witness the keys officially being turned over to Fire Chief Joe Hubenka and Rescue Captain Jim Wiehn from members of the Humphrey Rural Fire Board, which financed the construction through taxes collected.
