Limited Bulldogs defeated by Elgin/Pope John

A short-handed Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family team fell to Elgin/Pope John 59-38 Thursday at Lindsay.

The Bulldogs were without Easton Baumgart who was ill, and starter Sage Frauendorfer missed much of the first half in foul trouble.

“We didn’t have Easton (Baumgart), and Easton’s kind of become our break-somebodydown guy, just really hard to guard, hard to stay in front of. He can get around his guy, he can make a shot for somebody else, and not having him really hurt,” head coach Joe Hesse said. “Not having Sage (Frauendorfer). I think Sage only played like 3 minutes in the first half. If we don't have those two guys we’re going to have to play really well to be in the game.”
