A slow start was too much for the Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family boys to overcome Friday night, as they dropped a 53-46 decision at Howells/Dodge.
The Jaguars jumped out to a 16-8 lead after the first quarter, and the Bulldogs played catch-up the rest of the night.
Defensively, H-LHF held Howells/Dodge in check in the second quarter, limiting it to 6 points, but managed just 7 to trailed 22-15 at the break.
