Deadline extended to submit name, mascot

Parishioners got an extension, but that’s the only concession Archbishop George Lucas made.

The closing of Lindsay Holy Family and St. Francis grades 7-12 is moving forward, with a junior/senior high school opening at St. Francis next school year with a new name and mascot.

After Father Stan Schmit’s public meeting at St. Francis Dec. 28, he relayed questions and concerns from patrons to a meeting with Archbishop Lucas Jan. 2.
