Bulldogs let game slip away against O-C; whip Neligh-Oakdale

Fourth quarter leads of 5 and 3 couldn’t stand up, as Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family dropped a 47-44 decision to Oakland-Craig here Jan. 23.

“We had the lead at 4 with about 2 minutes left, and had a couple of ticky-tack fouls on the perimeter, and put them on the line, and you don’t want to do that,” Head coach Joe Hesse said. “The lack of rebounding was what killed us.”

An Owen Kurtenbach bucket and free throw gave the Bulldogs a 42-37 lead, and after the Knights pulled within 42-41, Easton Baumgart gave the Bulldogs a 44-41 lead with 2:08 to play, but that was the last points for H-LHF.
