Dominant game sends HSF to state

St. Francis will ride a dominate performance all the way to Lincoln.

The Flyers took command early against Hyannis and cruised to a 76-34 win Monday in Burwell to claim the Class D2-7 District championship and earn a berth in the state tournament.

“We were certainly ready to play, and I thought we played very well on both ends of the court against a very good Hyannis team,” head coach Eric Kessler said. “One of our main goals was to qualify for the state tournament, so I’m very happy for our team as they have put a lot of time in and worked very hard to get to this point.”
