Mary Ann Stodola, “Punch, Toots” 86 years, of Fremont, Neb., passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, surrounded by family at Methodist Health in Fremont.
Mary Ann was born May 10, 1937 to Edward and Grace (Hastreiter) Labenz in St. Bernard, Neb. She attended High School in Lindsay, Neb. On May 16, 1956, Mary Ann married the love of her life LeRoy Stodola at St. Francis of Assisi in Humphrey, Neb.
Mary Ann enjoyed playing cards, drinking coffee, gardening, going to church, and spending time with family and friends. Her personality shined through enough to give her the nicknames Punch or Toots. Mary Ann was a master at many skills allowing her to be self-employed owning many rental properties. Painting, laying carpet, and shingling were just a few talents she taught her kids and grandkids.
