Pool taking shape

The walls could be going up next week as Humphrey’s new swimming pool is taking shape.

Forrest Kramer, part owner of Christiansen Commercial Construction, of Pender, which is building the pool, said progress continues to be made with an eye on a late summer opening.

“Our contractor ShorCo (of Omaha) is on site, and they’re forming up the deep end of the pool,” he said. “We have the rebar running up the slope from the deep end to the play area. Hopefully, we’ll be pouring the next phase for the pool, and that gets poured in five sections, so hopefully, they’ll be pouring another section of the pool up the slope section.”
