Paige Nolan has reached the national stage.
The junior at Wayne State College and a 2022 graduate of Humphrey High School, has been elected as a national student unit officer for the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS).
“My advisor, Dr. Carol Erwin, is the one who told me about this, because I am involved in AAFCS and NAFSC, which is the state affiliate, and then I also do things on the local level at WSC for our local chapter. Basically, I heard about it through staying updated in the field, and then my advisor said, ‘I think you’d be really good at this, and think you should give it a shot.’” She applied the first of the year, and learned she was going to be on the ballot in February. The ballot was sent out in March, and she learned she won about a week ago.
