These Walls
Your bricks were laid well before any of us can remember. They were built upon and made strong by faith. You were only meant to be a place where we could learn and grow. But over the years, you became so much more. Your walls became a home. And oh, if your walls could talk.
Your walls have seen many faces pass through, all of whom you welcomed with open arms. You witnessed as we were never more completely and utterly confused. And later, as the light bulb turned on when everything finally made sense. Yes, of course we learned within your walls. But we also laughed. I think if your walls could talk, that would be what they would recall the most. They would remember how we cried, of both joy and pain. How we occasionally panicked; felt immense joy and peace. Of course, we all know that we never misbehaved. Though, I’m sure your walls might say otherwise.
