Summer activities at the Humphrey Public Library ended Aug. 3, with the finish of the “Adventures begin at your library” reading/ board game.
Of the 83 reading participants, Remi Rathje, Evelyn, Isaac, and Olivia Korus, Aubrey and Emma Bower, Henry Klassen, Natalia Baumgart, Hartley and Hank Werner, Sage and Josie Fischer, Tatum and Rory Beranek, Alyosha Ternus, Oaklyn and Breckin Zach, Cooper and Riley Wieser, and Kallie and Bailee Hellbusch “traveled” their way to the Finish line of the board game.
While the kids play the board game, they are also accumulating reading pages. Fortythree readers turned in their reading pages by the Aug. 3 deadline. For kids 7 years and under, the top three reading page winners are (1) Remi Rathje, (2) Hartley Werner, and (3) Natalia Baumgart. Beau Klassen is the first place winner in the 8-9 year-old category, with Emma Stone in second and Isaac Korus in third place. In the 10-13 years-old age group, first place goes to Henry Klassen, (2) Evelyn Korus, and (3) Rylee Ott. A “SHOUT OUT” to these readers as well as the rest of the summer readers: Aubrey and Emma Bower, Olivia, Lainey, Reid, and Blaise Braun, Isabel, Kinsley, and Addison Larson, Bennett, Preston, Connor, and Jolie Wegener, Hank Werner, Jack and Kasen Werner, Will and Charlotte Klassen, Olivia Korus, Liam, Mia, Harley, and Autry Rozmiarek, Miura Schaecher, Oaklyn and Breck Zach, and Riley and Cooper Wieser.
