School. Some people tell you it’s the best years of your life while others will say it’s a necessary evil. Ancient philosopher Aristotle said it best: “The roots of education are bitter, but the fruits are sweet.” Whether you like school or you don’t, you have to admit that it provides us with opportunities we wouldn’t have otherwise. Those opportunities might come in the form of friendship and camaraderie.
They might come through sports and activity participation. Or, they may come in the form of a class or a project or a teacher that ignites your spark to realize your dream. We all know that every opportunity we are given is only as good as we make it to be. So, let’s take a moment to look at school in a positive light and see what might be instead of what has to be.
