A 48-30 win over Riverside here Friday left the Archangels Defenders 4-0, but with room for improvement.
They took command early, taking a 28-8 halftime lead, but a rare turnover by the Defenders, and missed plays by the Chargers gave ACHS head coach Eric Kessler with a laundry list of areas that need to be cleaned up.
“I thought we did all right defensively. The second half was disappointing. They’re really good. I didn’t think our tackling was very good, some of it is they have a really good running back, they have a good offensive line and quarterback, but we gave up too much in the second half, I thought,” Kessler said.
