The Archangels Defenders split a pair of games Thursday at Heartland Lutheran in Grand Island.
They defeated to Heartland Lutheran 27-25, 25-12 before falling to Nebraska Christian 2520, 13-25, 6-25.
Against Heartland Lutheran, the Defenders put down 18 kills to 16 for the Red Hornets. Whitney Wegener led the team with 5 kills, and Ella Foltz had 4.
