Another school bond will have to wait 6 months.
Humphrey Public School Superintendent Brice King briefly addressed the second failed bond issue at the Nov. 11 board meeting.
“I did talk with the election commissioner regarding the time line if the board decided to call for a third bond issue election. The board would have to wait 6 months for the next election, which would be May 13 at the soonest. The board would be able to call for the election at any point during the next 6 months. The latest would be Thursday, March 20 because the paperwork would have to be submitted to the election office by Friday, March 21. We can discuss that more at our December meeting, take a little time to digest the results,” he said.
