This holiday season, the Village of Comstock once again becomes a magical wonderland with the Midwest's largest Christmas display, featuring over a mile of dazzling lights, 400+ inflatables, and a heartfelt story of love and remembrance.
Eight years ago, local resident Henry Nuxoll set out to honor his twin brother and his 15-monthold granddaughter—both unable to experience Christmas. What began as a small act of love has transformed into an awe-inspiring spectacle that brings joy to thousands each year.
It all started with an anonymous gift: an inflatable Santa and reindeer left on Nuxoll’s doorstep. Over the next 30 days, more anonymous decorations—valued at over $3,000—appeared. Nuxoll displayed them all, hoping to spread joy to the community. Today, that simple gesture has blossomed into a tradition like no other.
