The Archangels Defenders whipped Fullerton 47-22 Saturday to win the championship of the Goldenrod Conference Tournament Saturday at Central Valley.
After playing to a 7-all draw in the first quarter, the Defenders went on a 14-5 run in the second to lead 21-12 at the break.
They continued to pull away in the third quarter with a 13-2 run to lead 34-14 heading to the fourth, and they cemented the win with a 13-8 fourth quarter advantage.
