Kurtenbach tops 1,000 career points as Bulldogs roll past LDNE

It was Owen Kurtenbach’s night. The Humphrey-Lindsay senior scored 33 points and topped the 1,000 career point mark as the Bulldogs whipped Lyons Decatur Northeast 63-32.

“As a freshman just missed the cut of making varsity just because we had 10 seniors out,” head coach Joe Hesse said. “Sophomore year on I don’t know that he’s hardly come off the court he’s that valuable to our team. He’s always been a really good defender, and the two years his offensive game has really come along. The last two weeks he’s really taken it to another level shooting and scoring.”

Hesse credited his teammates for getting Kurtenbach the ball.
