Rob Westring’s devotion to Humphrey-Lindsay athletics ws recognized Thursday at the Bulldogs girls and boys basketball games.
According to the plaque the family received, “Rob Westring was a devoted family man whose love knew no bounds. Even when he couldn't be there in person to cheer them on at their games, he found joy in watching their performances on HUDL. His eyes would light up as he followed their progress, celebrating their victories and offering words of encouragement for every effort or teasing them goodnaturedly when they missed a free throw or two. Those moments brought him immense happiness and a sense of connection, reminding us all of the deep bond he shared with each of them. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in our memories, and the love he had for his grandkids continues to inspire us every day. We appreciate Rob’s family and friends for their donations to the 2024-25 HUDL streaming in his memory.”
Donations made by Rob’s wife, Brenda, his children, stepchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, past co-workers, his former high school classmates and friends helped raise enough money for the live streaming of HUDL at Humphrey/Lindsay events.
