Three communities are now without their local newspapers.
I opened an e-mail from the Nebraska Press Association last week to read three newspapers — The Waverly News, Gering Courier, and Hemingford Ledger — were shutdown by Lee Enterprises.
Lee owns around 77 daily newspapers and more than 350 specialty publications. It serves 72 markets in 25 states.
