Catholic Schools Week at Archangels High School, St. Francis Elementary, and St. John Newman in Clarkson was marked by a display of generosity as students participated in a service project organized by the ACHS National Honor Society (NHS). The project focused on collecting essential items to be donated to the Center for Survivors in Columbus, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting victims of abuse.
Throughout the week, each grade level (pre-K – 12) was assigned specific items to donate, with set goals established to encourage participation. However, the students went above and beyond expectations, surpassing every goal set for the initiative.
Students from Pre-K through third grade focused on donating children's items such as diapers, baby wipes, and baby soap. Their goal of 120 items was nearly doubled, with a final count of 238 donated items, including an astounding 1,420 diapers.
