Humphrey-Lindsay is heading to the district final after whipping Homer 63-45 in the Class C2-6 Subdistrict at Homer.
Head coach Kandee Hanzel said her team got off to a fast start.
“First time in a while we started determined. We had a game plan and the girls responded with great effort and focus. We knew what we had to do to win and we did — defense. We played great defense and shot the ball really well. We had 21 assists on 24 buckets. Emily Dohmen and Hallie Reichmuth played stifling defense on Homer’s best player. Claire had a big game with 29 points. Faith Korth finished with 10 points. Alexis Groteluschen pulled down 11 rebounds. Autumn Fittje, Nyla Beller, and Hallie Reichmuth hit 3’s at the start of the fourth quarter to put the lead to 20. Pretty fun game,” she said.
