St. Francis celebrates Lent

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, which is a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in preparation for Easter.

At St. Francis Elementary School students participated in a recollection service organized by second grade teacher Stacie Baumgart in the afternoon on Ash Wednesday.

Students were separated in two separate groups by age — PK-1 with sixth grade as helpers and grades 2-5, who were able to work independently.
