Archangels beat Wausa to end year right way
Few teams get to end their season with a win, but the Archangels Defenders did just that Saturday, defeating Wausa 45-39 to earn third place in the Class D-2 State Tournament at Lincoln Southwest.
“It feels really good, to be honest,” head coach Eric Kessler said. “You don’t know how these games are going to. It is fun to win, but once we got going and juices starting flowing, and it got competitive, our kids really played hard. We didn’t play great all the time, but we really got after them. It’s a good win for us.”
