The Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family speech team placed 8th Thursday in Class C-2 State Speech contest at Kearney High School.
Colter Schneider finished 15th in persuasive speaking, Harley Goering placed 11th in entertainment speaking, and Lia Whited got 8th in POI and 7th in poetry.
The OID team of Karley Vering, Kaylee Krings, Cejay Dahlberg, Whited, and Schneider placed 5th. Krings placed 5th in POI and 3rd in serious prose and was recognized as one of the top three individual performers in Class C-2 by the Johnny Carson School of Drama and Theater.
