It’s funny how our feelings about birthdays change over time.
We celebrated the second birthday of my grandson Linus recently. A lot of adults, and only one kid near his age, my granddaughter, Lyla, who turns 3 next month. Linus didn’t know it was his birthday, only that he got some new toys.
We celebrate birthdays up to a certain age, then people start to lament getting older, then when we get past those years we start to celebrate again, celebrating those in the 80s, 90s, 100 and beyond.
