Out of all of my classes, Journalism has to be one of my favorites.
During the class I am in charge of a lot of the competitions that we have going on every week on the HSF Dispatch. We consistently run a “Picture of the Week” and a “Caption Contest.”
Picture of the Week consists of the Journalism team choosing around four fun pictures and posting them on the website. Then, anyone who logs on can vote to decide which one is the best for that week. When a winner is determined, that picture is posted and the others are eliminated. At the end of the quarter we cast another vote in a single elimination bracketed “tournament” to determine the best overall picture of the quarter.
