Doug Eisenmenger is carrying it. The 50-year-old Humphrey man was diagnosed Dec. 31, 2021, with Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET), a rare form of cancer for which there is no chance of being cancer-free.
“I got what I wished for,” he said. “I don’t think I’d be strong enough if she (his wife Darla) were in this spot, so I’m glad it’s me. I got what I asked for because I always pray if there’s ailments, give them to me, if there’s sickness give it to me, so they are healthy, put it on my shoulders so my family can be healthy.”
