St. Francis took over in the second quarter Saturday and went on to whip Burwell 68-39.
Leading 13-6 after the first, the Flyers outscored the Longhorns 24-7, rarely allowing the visitors to get the ball past halfcourt, to take a 37-13 lead at the break.
The only thing to be decided in the second half was margin of victory as St. Francis won the third quarter 19-8 before Burwell finally found some offense against the St. Francis reserves in the fourth quarter, scoring 18 of their 39 total points.
