Shirley Pfeifer, 71, of Genoa, Neb., died Monday, April 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Genoa, and Father Bill L’Heureux celebrated the Mass. Visitation was on Thursday, from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service and visitation continued Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time, all at the church. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery.
Shirley Ann Pfeifer was born on June 5, 1951, in Sterling, Colo., to Harold and Bernice (Stenger) Korth. She attended school in Lindsay, Neb., and graduated from Lindsay Holy Family School in 1969. On April 22, 1972, Shirley was united in marriage to Patrick Pfeifer at Lindsay Holy Family Church. She worked at Lindsay Manufacturing for over 15 years. Shirley cherished being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family at the lake. She spent many hours outside helping her husband Pat with mowing, working cattle, or enjoying the warm weather. Shirley will always be remembered for her strength and kind heart.
