HSF spelling bee winners

The annual spelling bee was held at St. Francis Elementary School May 5.

Each classroom has a “local” contest, sending the three top spellers in each class (1-6) on to competition that takes place in the elementary gym each year.

Those students in grades 1-3 compete against each other at the primary level, while students in grades 4-6 compete against each other at the intermediate level. They are awarded ribbons for placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in their division. Those who did not place received a certificate.
