On Thursday, May 4, the St. Francis golf team traveled to Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island to compete in the Goldenrod Conference Golf Tournament.
The Flyers earned their 2nd consecutive conference championship by shooting a team score of 374 which was 19 strokes better then 2nd place Fullerton. St. Francis was led by freshmen Matthew Brockhaus who continued his strong play by shooting a 90 and finishing as runner up in the event.
Senior Jaden Kosch overcame a tough front 9 to shoot 93 and finish 3rd. Sophomore Andrew Kosch shot 95 to finish 4th while senior Tyrel Wegener carded a 96 and finished 7th overall. Senior Kegan Hackerott shot 99 and was the alternate score. Freshmen Tyson Wietfeld shot 64 in the 9 hole junior high portion of the meet.
