Reality of mock accident aims to make kids think

A moment of revelry ended with screams, possibly paralysis, a vehicle on its top and last rites.

Four students from St. Francis and Humphrey High brought to life a scene that no one wants to be part of their reality.

Members of the Humphrey Rescue Squad, Humphrey Volunteer Fire Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Platte County Sheriff’s Department, and LifeNet of the Heartland were called into action on May 2 during a Mock Accident drill on Platte County Road.
