There were facts and figures, but it was the personal accounts that resonated with the people.

Sunday’s tour and meeting at Humphrey Public School for the proposed $39.5 million 7-12 facility included the design of the school and tax impact, but the human element presented by parents and staff gave attendees a view of what’s at the heart of the project — the kids.

Kelli Wegener and Tricia Weidner each have special needs students attending HPS, and both praised the services while describing why a larger facility is needed to better serve their children and all students in the district.
