Humphrey FFA Chapter competed and attended the 95th annual Nebraska State FFA Convention in Lincoln.
Students had the opportunity to attend multiple leadership workshops and listen to many keynote speakers including the Heartland Docs Ben and Erin Schroeder, Rhett Laubach, the Nebraska State FFA Officers and a National FFA Officer.
During the convention, members participated in many different contests, workshops and events. Many awards were won by the chapter members as well. Those awards are as follows: Alivia Schemek, Jenaya Wemhoff, and Nora Bertrand were selected to participate in the State FFA Chorus. Nora auditioned for and was selected to perform a solo at state convention. Isabella Behle, Alex Renninger, and Karley Vering participated in Ag Issues Academy. Makenna Wietfeld competed in Senior Public Speaking earning a bronze medal. The Junior Livestock Judging team consisted of Rachel Martensen and Isabel Preister who earned blue ribbons, Ty Classen, and Reagan Graham. They placed 25th as a team. The Biotechnology state team consisted of Zavier Kuehler who earned a white ribbon, Raina Jacobson, Mackenzie Petersen, and Schuyler Heesacker they placed 21st as team. The Agriscience teams consisted of Amelia Whited and Xavier Rudnik who earned blue ribbons, Colter Schneider who earned a red ribbon, and Braelyn Hemmer who earned a white ribbon. They placed 37th as a team. The Natural Resources team consisted of Abilyn Schneider who earned a blue ribbon, Keith Ternus who earned a white ribbon, Alivia Schemek, and Mollie Groteluschen.
