NECC offers substitute teaching course

Northeast Community College to offer new online course for those interested in serving as substitute teachers Northeast Community College is offering a new one-credit hour course that will allow individuals the opportunity to earn a permit to serve as substitute teachers in Nebraska. The course, Human Relations in a Pluralistic Society, meets the Nebraska Department of Education’s human relations requirement.

Northeast Community College to offer new online course for those interested in serving as substitute teachers Northeast Community College is offering a new one-credit hour course that will allow individuals the opportunity to earn a permit to serve as substitute teachers in Nebraska. The course, Human Relations in a Pluralistic Society, meets the Nebraska Department of Education’s human relations requirement.

The local substitute teaching permit allows an individual to teach up to 90 days per school, per academic year.

Other requirements are 60 semester credits of college coursework, a letter from the superintendent of the school district where the local substitute permit will be assigned, and an application.
