The right of the Lindsay Village Board of Trustees to go into closed session was challenged during its Aug. 7 meeting.
Opinions from the Nebraska Press Association and Attorney General’s office did not completely clarify the issue, but one opinion questioned the breach of trust between the board and the public.
Board member Dave Arlt called for a closed session for 13 agenda items, all pertaining grants.
