They got a scare, but Humphrey- Lindsay Holy Family hung on for a 75-65 win over Bancroft-Rosalie here Friday.
A 22-point third quarter lead was cut to 9 with 1:31 to play and 6 with 39 seconds remaining before the Bulldogs put it away.
“We got too many turnovers in their press, we turned it over like two or three times in a row, they started hitting 3’s, and then they had some and-ones, and there goes our 22-point lead,” head coach Kandee Hanzel said. “There were several times we had three girls on the bottom, and they didn’t go for the ball. They got complacent with the lead.”
