HSF grade school plan to Archbishop

Consultant to present findings Oct. 26

St. Francis will soon know if a new grade school has the blessing of the Archdiocese of Omaha.

Bryan Reichmuth, of the St. Francis Grade School Building Committee, said great progress has been made into looking into the potential new school, and the next step to bring it before Archbishop George Lucas.

“We continue to work with our consultant Jim Nord. He spent the day with (principal) Jennifer (Dunn), and myself ... and the big news is he’s bringing us a final report Oct. 26. We will have a joint meeting with the school board, finance board and parish council and he’ll present his findings. Basically what comes out of his work is we’ll have a plan that can go to an architect, and they can start seeing where a school would fit, where’s the best place, what’s our options and things like that. It feels like good progress there,” Reichmuth said.
