A stolen Jeep in Edgerton, Minn., made quite a scene in Humphrey and the surrounding area.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, “At approximately 5 p.m. Friday, NSP was notified that a stolen Jeep Wrangler was believed to be traveling on Highway 81 south of Norfolk. Troopers were able to locate the vehicle at a gas station at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 91. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to yield, ran a stop sign, and accelerated onto Highway 81 southbound. The trooper initiated a pursuit.
“The suspect vehicle turned into Humphrey and continued on residential streets for a short time before turning northbound onto Highway 81. The vehicle slowed and a female passenger jumped from the moving vehicle. The trooper discontinued the pursuit and took the female into custody.
