Jane M. Hastreiter John, 68, was called to eternal rest on Oct. 15, 2023, surrounded by family.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023; at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Father Scott Harter will be the Celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Church. The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. A luncheon will be held at Gorak Hall following the Mass. A private family inurnment will be held in Humphrey, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Valley County Historical Society, VFW Auxiliary 7029, or to the family for future designation. Jane was born in Norfolk, Nebraska on January 7, 1955, to Eugene Hastreiter and Leona (Eisenmenger) Hastreiter. Jane was the second of seven children. Jane graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1973.
