St. Francis used long runs and a longer pass to advance in the Class D-2 state playoffs and send Fullerton home with a 40-8 loss here Friday.
“We put a couple of new things in that worked out well for us, but they’re a good team,” head coach Eric Kessler said. “They did a pretty good job early of stopping our running, but we are able to hit a couple of big passes, and some big runs late.”
Carson Wessel accounted for two touchdowns on the ground and another through the air.
