Students show decorating skills

The fourth annual fall fruit decorating contest was held at Saint Francis. The tradition of decorating fall fruits started in October 2020 as an activity put on by the journalism class. The idea was originally brought up by Taylor Wemhoff, a class of 2020 graduate of Saint Francis.

The fourth annual fall fruit decorating contest was held at Saint Francis. The tradition of decorating fall fruits started in October 2020 as an activity put on by the journalism class. The idea was originally brought up by Taylor Wemhoff, a class of 2020 graduate of Saint Francis.

This year’s contest ran from Oct. 16-27 with the winners being announced on Halloween. There were 70 entries this year, which were compiled into seven categories. This year’s categories were First Grade, Food , Creative Creations Singles, Creative Creations Multiples, Recognizable Faces, and Animals.

For each category, a winner was announced. Each category winner then went on for a final vote for the overall winner of the contest.
