Georgia Ann was born July 17, 1933, in Madison County, Neb., to George and Susan (Borer) Dusel. She attended Madison County Schools. On Aug. 27, 1951, Georgia Ann was united in marriage to Kenneth Bender at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Battle Creek, Neb. Together they farmed in the Humphrey area. Georgia Ann was known as the “Co Op Lady,”, because of her 27 years of working for the Humphrey Co-op. She also worked at Club 81 as a cook for nine years.
Georgia Ann enjoyed sewing, gardening, and taking care of her flowers that did not get mowed over by Ken. She loved taking her grandkids with her to her favorite store – Menards – and let them help her do her shopping. Georgia Ann was a “jack-of-alltrades” and could fix and repair about anything. Working at the Co-op, she mixed several gallons of paint, and enjoyed painting her own rentals when people would move out. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
