Darrell Dohmen, 60, of Lindsay, Neb., died Monday, Oct.28, 2024, at his home.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay with Father Stan Schmit celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., with a vigil service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Visitation will continue Thursday, from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Rotherham Post #261. Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church.

Darrell Michael Dohmen was born on Feb. 24, 1964, in Newman Grove, Neb., to Vincent and Sharon (Otto) Dohmen. He grew up in Lindsay and attended school in Lindsay and Humphrey, graduating from Humphrey High School in 1982. Darrell entered the U. S. Army in 1982 and served on active duty until 1992. He then served in the Army Reserves until 2003.

On Aug. 9, 1985, Darrell was united in marriage to Cecelia Stewart in Tacoma, Wash. After Darrell left the military, the couple settled in the Humphrey and Lindsay area. Darrell worked at the Co-Ops in Humphrey and Lindsay for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and loved fireworks and Fourth of July celebrations. He loved to travel and greatly enjoyed all the traveling he was able to do while serving in the military.

Darrell is survived by: Wife: Cecelia Dohmen of Lindsay, Neb.

Son: Derrick (Aspien) Dohmen of Lindsay, Neb.

Grandchildren: Novaleigh, Huxley, & Landry Son: Justin Dohmen of Grand Island, Neb.

Mother: Sharon Dohmen of Madison, Neb.

Brother: Steve (Jami) Dohmen of Columbus, Neb.

Brother: Tom (Twila) Dohmen of Columbus, Neb.

Brother: Jeff (Jennifer) Dohmen of Humphrey, Neb.

Brother: Vince (Kathy) Dohmen of Pierce, Neb.

Brother: Kevin Dohmen of Madison, Neb.
