Julie Ann (Werner) Frauendorfer

Julie Ann (Werner) Frauendorfer

Julie Ann (Werner) Frauendorfer, 55, peacefully went to be with our Lord on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, surrounded by family at her home in Royse City, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial was on Monday, Nov. 4, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, and Father Stan Schmit celebrated the Mass. Visitation was on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. with a 4 p.m. vigil service, all at the church. Visitation continued on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time, again at the church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Memorials are suggested as those of the family or donor’s choice.

Born on March 28, 1969, in Norfolk, Neb., and raised in Humphrey, Neb., by her parents, William and Karen (Schnitzler) Werner, Julie grew up with a joyful spirit and the values of family, friendship, faith, and a love of a good card game — and, of course, her favorite oatmeal scotchies, but made with chocolate chips. At just 16, she bravely overcame a diagnosis of brain cancer, a testament to her resilience and strength that would continue to inspire those around her.

In high school, she excelled in volleyball and cheerleading, sparking a lifelong passion for sports and an enthusiastic devotion to cheering on the Nebraska Huskers. After graduating from St. Francis High School in 1987, she pursued a degree in education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Julie practiced this by first working in childhood education at daycares and later as a long-term substitute teacher, which allowed her the cherished opportunity to also be home with her children.

On New Year’s Eve in 1987, Julie met the love of her life, Keith Frauendorfer, boldly asking him to dance with her. They went on their first date the very next day, embarking on a journey together and ultimately marrying on June 8, 1991. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Megan, in 1994, and two years later, their son, Kendall, arrived to complete their family.

Julie’s happiest moments were those spent with her family, playing games, sharing laughter, and traveling together to places such as Mount Rushmore, the Rocky Mountains and Florida. These memories will be forever treasured by her family.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Keith Frauendorfer; her beloved children, Megan Oliver and her husband, Ryan, and Kendall Frauendorfer; and her cherished grandchildren, Owen Oliver and Bailey Oliver. She is also survived by her mother, Karen Werner; her brother, Tim Werner, and his wife, Jill; her sister, Lisa Danson, and her husband, Jim; and her brother, Mike Werner, and his wife, Jill, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She now joins her father, William Werner, in eternal peace.

Julie’s memory will endure in the love she shared and the many lives she touched. Her warmth and laughter will be profoundly missed by everyone blessed to know her.
