Henry (Hank) Heimann Jr.

Henry (Hank) Heimann Jr., age 86, passed away peacefully on Feb. 7, 2025, after a short stay at Emerald Nursing Home. Papa Hank, Rest in Peace.

Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation was 4-7 p.m. Monday, with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Visitation continued Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., also at the church. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Scotus Central Catholic High School, St. Joseph Fund, or Stratplan.

Henry was born on February 2,1939, on the family farm in St. Bernard, Neb., to Henry B. and Elizabeth M. (Sueper) Heimann. He attended St. Bernard School and graduated from Humphrey St. Francis High School in 1957. After graduation, he served in the Army for two years.

On April 22,1961, Henry married the love of his life, Betty Egger, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, Nebraska. To this union of over 63 years their three children were born: Bob, Sue and Jim. Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked for Becton Dickinson in Columbus for over 30 years Following his retirement, he worked part-time for CarQuest. He was a lifelong member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church where he participated for over 50 years of perpetual adoration. He was a Eucharistic Minister, served Mass and was a Knights of Columbus member.

Henry cherished his family and especially enjoyed the family gatherings for holidays and birthdays. He enjoyed playing cards with family, taking care of

his yard, coaching and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. In his younger days, he enjoyed pitching and playing baseball.

He is survived by his: Wife: Betty Heimann of Columbus Son: Bob Heimann of Omaha Daughter: Sue Hoge (Jim) of Columbus Son: Jim Heimann of Albuquerque, N.M.

Four Grandchildren: Lindsay Heimann, Nolan Heimann, Jaime Sack (Andy), Nicole Liss (Cody) Six Great-grandchildren: Elsie, Jack, Jay and Emmett Sack, and Raelyn and Jameson Liss Siblings: sister Germaine Sorenson, brother Ed (Joan) Heimann, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Elizabeth Heimann, sister Florene (Eddie) Pfeifer, brother Francis (Carolyn) Heimann, sister Mary Ann (Floyd) Hemmer, and sister Coletta (Harold) Pfeifer.
