Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, and Father Stan Schmit celebrated the Mass. Interment was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was on Monday, from 5-7 p.m., with a Vigil Service was at 7 p.m., all at the church. Visitation continued on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until service time, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Francis Catholic Church or the Humphrey Rescue Unit.
Lucille was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Platte County, Neb., to Ferdinand “Butch” and Agnes (Brandl) Weidner. She attended Sacred Heart School and on November 15, 1949, was united in marriage to Francis Sand at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cornlea, Neb. Lucille was a loving and supportive wife and mother to seven children. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing cards and entertaining. Lucille love traveling and her and Francis traveled the world together. She always welcomed everyone into her home. Lucille was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Daughter – Janet (Keith) Krings of Humphrey, Neb.
Daughter – Lois (Gene) Chohon of Goodyear, Ariz.
Son – Larry (Cindy) Sand of Omaha, Neb.
Daughter – Judy Bunkers of Omaha, Neb.
Daughter – Shari (Steve) Davey of Kansas City, Mo.
Son – Steve (Gina) Sand of Omaha, Neb.
18 Grandchildren 31 Great Grandchildren Brother – Ferd “Jr” (Helen) Weidner of Humphrey, Neb.
Sister-in-law – Maxine “Mickey” Weidner of Madison, Neb.
