Judith 'Judy' A. Sanders

Judith “Judy” A. Sanders, 82, died Friday, April 4, 2025, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kan., following a brief illness.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m., Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Monday, April 14, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Humphrey, Neb.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., April 15, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.

Preceded in death by her parents, Eugene “EJ” and Florentine “Flo” Kessler; brother, Don Kessler; sister-in-law, Deb Kessler.

Survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Sanders of Wichita; daughter, Lindsay (Matthew) Headley of Norfolk, Neb.; sister, Mary (Wayne) Mark of Omaha, Neb.; brothers, Jim (Mace) Kessler of Lincoln, Neb., Jack (Gail) Kessler of Columbus, Neb.; sister- in-law, Jan (Bill) Fischer of Humphrey, Neb.; grandchildren, Miranda, Vincent, Max, and Vanessa Headley.

Like a wise athlete, Judy retired in her prime, a picture of health for 82 years. She and Tom were best friends for 50 years and were married for almost 49. Judy was a true introvert, yet those who knew her would describe her as engaging, thoughtful, gentle, and kind. Her life

revolved around her family and the Lord in Adoration. She and Tom enjoyed taking road trips to explore our country and visit family and friends along the way.
