He passed away April 26, 2020.
He attended school in Clarkson, Neb. He was a great basketball player in high school. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 and served 4 years. After the service he worked in construction until he moved to Colorado and worked for Gates Rubber Company.
On April 11, 1964, he married Janet Bender at Sacred Heart Church in Cornlea, Neb. They lived in Colorado until 1966 when they moved to Omaha, Neb. He went to work at Western Electric, AT&T, Lucent. He retired in 1997. They have 2 children: Richard from South Dakota, and Kelli (Scott) Naggatz from Iowa. They have 5 grandchildren: Damian (Jessica) Schneider, Tyler (Courtney) Swoboda, Haley (Josh) Pietrzak, Marvin Naggatz and Kayla Naggat. They have 8 great-grandchildren: Jayden, Alana, Ava, Lathen, Jaysper, Rillie, Emberlyn and Cyrus (CJ).
He had a brother, Lloyd (Terry), and a sister, Audrey (John), have proceeded him in death. He had 7 brothers-in-law: Vic (Dottie), Mark (Darlene), Gene, Rolly (Donna), Gary (Kris), Ray (JoAnn), and Art (Jeanie) Bender. Vic (Dottie) Mark (Darlene), Gene, Donna, proceeded him in death.
Glenn belonged to the American Legion and the AM Vets. He did military funerals for over 17 years. He belonged to Midwest Metal Detecting for a few years. He loved doing crafts, gardening, yard work, hunting and fishing.
His visitation and funeral will be Saturday, May 6, in Omaha Neb., at Mary Our Queen Church. 3405 So. 118th St.
Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m. with mass to follow at 10 a.m. with lunch to follow.
Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cornlea, Neb., about 2:30 p.m. with Military Services by Millard Legion and VFW.
Memorials to the family to be given to the church and many/ different charities.
